ROLE Magazine - August 2009

ROLE Magazine is pleased to announce the publication of our August, 2009 issue. Our staff contributors stepped away away from their holidays and romantic picnics by the shore to bring you the fun and interesting features you have come to expect.

Staff contributor Raul Crimson raises a question that I have also mused yet never voiced. To paraphrase, if a photographer takes an in-world photo of an SL artist's build is it ethical for that photographer to set a price tag on the photograph and sell it as their art? It's a great question and we hope you'll enjoy the article and let us know what you think.

Staff fashion stylist Stacie Pryor and photographer Zoe Demar team up once again to bring you a close-up look at end of summer designs and fashions and staff fashion stylist Keeley Huet styles a spread based on the transient and wistful nature of cyber <3. Cayce Newell and Tomoyo Breitman bring us the Hot Finds fresh from the grid and inspire us for our weekend shopping excursion with another fantastic Mix and Match column. Looking for male fashions? Let staff fashion stylist Ana Lutetia give you a steampunk or goth make-over and be sure to check out exclusive looks from guest stylists Sylar Boyd and Takeshi Kiama in Express Zenkova's regular male fashion feature.

Those wanting to check out the SL music scene will enjoy staff contributor Bibi Ballinger's coverage on musician JueL Resistance and will surely want to check out the feature on Latin American musician Horacios Allen written by staff contributor Jura Shepherd. Paypabak Writer thrills my inner science fiction geek by covering the in-world sims based on the Firefly series. Salvatore Otoro takes the time to show us what it means to truly be a hero while visiting the role play opportunities on the Heroes Universe sims.

One of my favorite summer pastimes is the good, old-fashioned road trip. Ever taken one in SL? Well, I hadn't! Check out my article in this month's issue and see what I found along Route 8.

We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed creating it! Click here to read it online.
